A fond farewell to fatness

Lately people have been telling me that Tate is starting to not look as chubby. Frankly, that makes me a little sad. I have loved, loved, loved having a chubby baby. I decided that since he is likely to start crawling any day now, and then he'll be skinnier for sure, I need to document one last time how Tate looked when he was in his prime:

How fat is that...
" Wrangler butts drive me nuts"
My sister likes to call Tate "muffin top" because his his love handles fold over his clothes like the top of a muffin. I LOVE it!!

Something that I am very excited about right now:

Girls Camp

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I get to be a camp "craft specialist" and the "camp nurse" at our Stake Young Women's Camp this year. I think I quite possibly could have the 2 best jobs at camp. PLUS, since I am going with the Stake I guess that I get to stay in the lodge and everyone else has to camp in tents on cement slabs, which, believe it or not, I am not dissapointed about missing.

We had our first meeting last night and the theme is going to be "Someone Needs Your Star" It's kind of an off shoot from the youth theme this year of being "steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works." The theme is a line is borrowed from a song by Jenny Phillips which you can listen to here: http://www.jennyphillips.com/music_yw2008.htm

I just watched a video on that same page called "To Become like Him" which was pretty awesome too.

I'm a little out of touch because I'm not actually in YW. I'm a sunbeam (3yo) teacher going on 1 1/2 years now. (Ok I guess I'm not that out of touch-it's not like its been 59 years since I was 16-but still) So I know that some of you serve in YW and I could use some suggestions for crafts. We're thinking something with a star some how incorporated to the craft, but that's not even for sure. Actually I forgot a huge stipulation: our budget is $2-3 dollars or so per girl! So if there's anything you've done or seen recently that 12-18 year old girls would go crazy about, send me some suggestions! THANK YOU

We've got Tunes!

So sorry everyone, but we have background music. Chris was asking me if we could have music on our blog and I told him that that could be his ongoing contribution to the blog and he agreed. Lucky for you because I have always thought that Chris had superior music tastes to me. I'm actually kind of excited because when we were dating he always was playing me songs, dancing at the institute dances, etc (Little shout out to all former EA ers) and now it seems like you just sometimes forget about those little things that you used to love. Ok, I realize that for anyone that didn't go to EA, the thought of dancing at the institute dances may sound a little lame and ridiculous, but when you're there that's what EVERYONE does so it's really quite fun. So as far as music goes, be prepared for a little bit of everything I would wager. The one constant for him will probably be "the prophet" as Chris sometimes says- Bob Marley. Enjoy! (Or you could just turn off your sound.)
